Tribal Transportation is developing a corridor report to determine the condition of Heart Butte Road, to determine if it is ready for an asphalt overlay or if not, then the Report will recommend any corrective action needed, rehabilitation, or reconstruction sections for the route. This involves designing 32.5-miles of roadway on BIA 1 between Browning at the intersection of US Highway 89 and to the Blackfeet Reservation border near the Birch Creek Bridge on the Blackfeet Reservation (Reference Post (RP) 0.0 to RP 32.5).

This project encourages public participation, and meetings will kick off public involvement. The preparation of renderings and graphics will be included for the public information/meetings based on Tribal Transportation’s desires.
