The Gurley Overpass bridge in Gillette, Wyoming, spans BNSF railroad tracks and US Highway 14/16. The bridge was constructed in 1982 and provides a grade-separated crossing that plays an essential role in keeping north-south traffic moving without interference from frequent rail activity below. With an average of 10,500 cars a day, maintaining the overpass is essential to providing emergency services for Campbell County Fire Station No. 2, as well as access to community area schools, commercial and industrial businesses, and residential development.

A recent study in January 2026 indicated that replacing the bridge is the preferred alternative to keep this vital connection in service. In the process of the redesign, the Gurley Overpass will be renamed to Senator Mike Enzi Memorial Overpass. The design team will utilize community feedback through public events and stakeholder meetings to ensure community needs are met during the design process.
