Project Overview
The City of Gillette is moving forward with plans to replace the Gurley Overpass which provides a north-south connection over the BNSF railroad tracks and US Highway 14/16 in Gillette. The bridge was originally constructed in 1982 and has recently undergone numerous repairs to slow the deterioration of the bridge deck. While the repairs have helped slow the deterioration, a recent study indicated that a bridge replacement is the most viable option to maintain this vital connection.
The City is currently working through the design process to construct a new overpass named the Senator Mike Enzi Memorial Overpass. The design team will utilize community feedback through public events and stakeholder meetings to incorporate community needs into the design process.
