Project Overview

The Bismarck-Mandan Metropolitan Planning Organization (BMMPO) is studying potential locations for one or more future passenger rail stations to serve the region if passenger rail service is restored. This work is being conducted alongside a study by the Big Sky Passenger Rail Authority (BSPRA), which is exploring the restoration of passenger rail service between Chicago and Seattle. Findings from the BMMPO study will be shared with BSPRA as they continue to evaluate the feasibility of restoring passenger rail service.
